For this project I reimagined the story of Like Water for Chocolate, adapting the story from 1920’s Mexico to the 2000’s. The sultry story of love, lust and forbidden desire told through the lens of magical realism is combined with lingerie inspired silhouettes and fabrics with 2000’s fashion influences. The design is comprised of many layers which progressively get removed during the ballet’s chorography.
